I thought it was my long hair that got me the tea, I quite fancy that I cut something of a dashing figure to the more mature lady. I have found this quite effective in the home where I had to stick my mother in-law (because she was getting on my wick and I needed to make some room for new bass-bins)
I very much doubt it was the hair, you're probably much less attractive than me.
In future, try subtlety, "Good afternoon, long drive, nice cup of tea wouldn't go amiss" Worked for me.

no cash machine is good! means you cant spend all your money. Go with a pocket full then wait til the next time to spend more!

Although I aspire to a "garage like Johns" and also see the need for a local cash machine, I feel there may be a couple of improvements that could be made to any deal that may happen in the future:
1, Installation of a tea machine, fairly priced and good tea a prerequisite.
2, Either a credit card machine or some sort of deal with a bank, in order to facilitate complete bankruptcy to any unsuspecting customer.
3, Extended parking facilities, Arctics catered for etc.etc.etc.
4, Sensibly priced biscuits, Hob-Nob's, Digestives and any decent, High end, chocolate alternative.
5, A forklift, available on a ten minute hire basis.
6, Marriage counseling, only to be made available to the customer (Not spouse) This could include a pre-prepared list of excuses that could be churned out on customers return home.
7, Flowers for sale, see above.
8, Move down south, This would mean I don't have to drive so far to get a fair deal.
9, Try being a complete bastard for a while, then customers drift off and I may get things cheaper.
10, Give your Mum a medal.
Lastly, I don't think a pocket full of money would have covered it, I suggest a suitcase full might but don't buy it all because I want some.

mate DHL sent me two maplins 13.8V power supply in the past. both smashed realy bad and needed body work, the mains was even touching the case.
This proves it goes beond the point to damaging post, its atchaly quite dangous depending on what they brake.
Never had a problem with UPS, Parcel force, royal mail etc.
Possibly the above companys have a policy were they penalise employes for broken goods. In the ideal world this is the only way you would ever solve this problem.
I stuck my finger up at a DHL driver dismorning as we drove past in the car. At least I got a bit of revenge hehe
|
Posted By: Joe Average
Date Posted: 16 May 2008 at 6:20pm
Why stop at a finger ? Next time I see one, he is going to get covered in honey and burned alive. Preferably in public.
In the last month, DHL have cost me about £400 which I have a better chance of sex with the pope than I have of ever seeing it again.
I have requested a full refund from DHL and am now going to use one of the many alternatives. I hope a lot more do the same and then maybe they will realise.

Is it too onerous to put the sellers name in the search box ? However if one would be so kind as to prepare a list one would be more than happy to edit the original post.
Meantime, if this thread is kept on topic, (away from banter about ones favorite brands of biscuit) it might be more coherant..

DIGESTIVES, NO CHOCOLATE.
The problem with feedback now is that it has been mucked about with so much that feedback figures are, themselves, somewhat inconsistent. A seller could have 1000 bad feedback now, but so long as they got them over a year ago then their score would be 100%. Or this can work the other way and damn a good seller which has the misfortune to deal with lunatics. With a feedback score of 333 total,1 neutral and 2 bad the old score used to be 99.1% now, with the new scoring the score is 97.3%, which looks a whole lot worse. I have always tried to be as honest as possible with any customers and with purchases also, the problem is that they do not always reciprocate the same attitude, occasionally there are problems which I do my utmost to sort out but it seems that this is more the exception to the rule with Ebay.
Now it becomes much more open to abuse because the right to reply to feedback has also been removed which makes the feedback issue much more of a farce than it ever was and also prompts requests for lists of shamed Ebayers (something that I am working on right now)

I don't know if this is just for feedback regarding members, but just thought I would mention how pleased I am with the service I've received from SSE.
I picked up my ASS SP3, SP5 and SP9 yesterday and Richard showed me round the warehouse (it reminded me of being 5 years old in a sweet shop, only this time the sweets were more expensive!) and then helped me to load the car.
The speakers themselves have been beautifully refurbished - new paint job, new grills, new speakon connectors. They look like new.
I'm really pleased!

Ok, so before you've posted that it hasn't shown up, have you contacted the seller to enquire about the tracking, when it was sent, has it been sent, etc?
I don't believe anyone should be posting here until the situation becomes unresolvable in the event of a problem occuring.

At the risk of getting slapped down I think gillo deserves to be named and shamed in here............
At least 4 people I know of, have had problems getting stuff they have paid for from him. I personally had to begin a Paypal dispute to get my stuff, when it did arrive, it was just chucked in a box with no attempt to protect the items. There's alot of good honest people on here selling their sound gear and just one or two can completely ruin it for everyone. I personally check this list before I consider buying anything now, but it's not much good if people can't be confident to post the bad as well as the good.......
Just my opinion..........

I'm not saying don't post when you have problems, but if people post here before they've pursued the issue, then they just end up looking foolish when the seller says 'I wasn't informed it hadn't arrived or had any contact to suggest there may be a problem'
As i said, I don't think you should post here until at least those steps have been taken.
If i'd sent money for an amp, and it hadn't showed, there'd be a number of things i be thinking of doing before posting bad feedback anywhere. Lets not forget there's usually a courier involved in the process too and I've been on the receiving end of bad feedback and frozen paypal account due to nobody contacting me when the item didn't arrive when expected (4 week delay by Royal Mail in that case)

Well i have tried to contact him (gillo) via pm but his mailbox is full. Also tried the email adress given on his profile, nothing there. The contact number on his paypal account doesn't seem to work and he hasn't been on this site since the 6th of november. So there is no other way i can think of to get any infomation from him. There is also another member that bought another amp from him the same time as me who is also having the same problem.

Ok, so now we know the full story, people can make their minds up about gillo as a seller.
Your previous post didn't give enough detail (imho). If this thread is to be useful to people then it needs to have some detail when things go wrong.
