Would there be any reason why this design couldn't be altered, so that
there is an access panel at the rear for the mid driver, and then
having the empty space on the horn side between the horn and the
cabinet wall filled with expanding foam, to give support and improve
sound quality?

also that plan says for 2x12" porn ahorn and 1x1.5" and only seems to show 1x12" or am i just looking at it wrong? edit. ive just realised it sys for 2x12" [ie If you are doing a 2x12" version] then make it said 12??cm height as opposed to the height on the drawings. |

why? If I keep the back volume the same then an access panel won't effect the back volume. And the foam was meant to go as in red:  Obviously the driver would need to be mounted to the horn differently, but this was just a 'what if' scenario. ------------- Tendril A mistake is a mistake only if one learns nothing from it. |

What do you mean for build? The porn horn is selled on proaudioparts but....if you mean building the horn uhmmmmm I think you need some foam, a steel wire to model it or antything you need for modelling, poliuretanic resin to get it solid. Another method could be using only wood like this master do http://www.volvotreter.de/roundhorns.htm, I think this is the only method to build a round phase plug. |

Given the age of this thread and the design of the top horn section (round hole exit) I'd say this is the V1.
I think the V2 was just a glint in Rog's eye at this time......
