If I'm going to use an amp for sub, I dont see the point of testing and measuring burst outputs, and O/P  power at 100Hz +. Confused

Because, thats not how I'm going to use it...

20-20K readings is what I'm usually interested in:

All the rest are for those men over there with their power hungry midtops.

Also, it can be for completeness - you can see the difference in power at different frequencies, and compare that to the rated power.

I forgot to add, Bink's test was done with SPL stuff (TD1, runts, bdeap) and they also utilised a 2722 audio analyser thing.
The ABX test was run using an ABX switch for quick comparison (like GiveorTake's idea on the other forum).

Whats the best way to tes an amplifier's REAL power output at 20hz-20khz then? Because i'd love to see some real life figures so I knwo how much power i'd REALLY be putting into my subs. Oh by the way 1 guy said a 20amp circuit would starve a Crown MA5000, so what kind of power supply would I need to properly run a Crown XTI4000?

Hey andy? Does you mean a Crown XTI4000 would use 1,200watts of power and need 5 amp supply?
