Can someone point me in the direction of a supplier of 6" diam tubes for the 184 sub? I've started building a pair and I'm damned if I can find any. If I use 4" diam soil pipe instead (which is actually 105mm diam) what should the tube lengths be adjusted to? Thanks in anticipation.

You could always build shelf ports instead, removing the need for pipe then. Prob a much easier build

No use 6" it is very easy to get hold off, either visit a few building
sites on the cadge or visit your local builders merchant. I got a 10'
length for £13
I find the best stuff to stick the tube in the box is Araldite, not the
quick setting stuff but the stuff that stays workable for a few hours.

You could always make square ports from timber - 133mm square will give you the same area, and therefore the same length.

Or you can just use the port lengths stated on the plans for 4" ports...

i found that the different port sizes modelled quite differently on bass
box pro, but i was only looking at building one for a fane xb. square
ports have much more wall surface area for the same cross sectional area
than a round port, for what it's worth. i don't know at what size that
argument becomes irrelevant.
i would on principle go for the 6", however the 4" version modelled better
for my speaker, which i wasn't expecting at all.

Thanks for your input. I have acquired some 6" underground soil pipe which has an internal diam of 152mm. I guess I just adjust the port length to give the same overall volume of port (is it that critical?)

The 2mm difference won't have any noticable effect. Don't try to
get same volume - as the port is made larger diameter, the length needs
to INCREASE. Just use the length on the plan.
