The topic sounds BAD. Really really BAD. How did that happen? TNT inside the horn?

maybe it was a cardboard replica of a punisher with a high compression ratio

What program do you use for your 3d?
I think it would probably look better without a single point light source, the shadows tend to complicate matters.
Oh by the way brilliant job,

Tony

Hi Walt I use a program called Varicad which is brilliant for 3D but you have to use a seperate program fo rendering.

Yes I fully built a prototype, I found that the ports that Rog had spec'd did not work?  I had to work on the low band port to get a flat response between 40 - 100 hz.
In the end I gave up because I did not really get a gain in the bandpass region to make the effort worth while.

I have since decided to forget the extra 10hz the design gave me and I am currently building a double PD154 bass reflex.

What has suprised me with reflex loading the PD154's in even small boxes i.e. 60L is how much real bass they are capable of without the usual freqeuncy doubling distortion setting in. Shows the good motor drive I suppose.

A friend has just built some 100L boxes with PD154's and he is very impressed with the results and is now selling his Eminence loaded boxes!!

Hmm interesting, I use B&C 15PZB40s in 120l cabs for bass in my bands PA and they are pretty good but 60l? surely not? that would mean I could stick 2 154s in the same size box that im using now and have twice the power handling! Were those 60l boxes for live or for recorded music?

The performance was a surprise to me as well. It came about when I was after a driver to try in my Berry B1500X when I become fed up with the wooley bass that they emitted, as I had the 154's for the sub project I gave it a go and was very impressed. The standard ports worked fine which I also confirmed with some RTA tests.

I will be putting the doubles into 150L boxes and porting them for a fairly low Fb.

I use mine for mainly live use but when I am asked to play a few tunes between acts they still sound pretty impressive.

I am not so sure that low QTS i.e. 0.2 - 0.3  drivers in reflex boxes always model correctly. The graphs for the 60L 154's certainly do not tell the whole story?
