HI, what do you think about Limmer 308? could it be a good solution for top mid high application? which drivers I could use in this horn? any suggest? or it will be better to choose the porn horn thanks  |

I do still use the Limmer 308/Mk1 Porn Horn combo...
I think it's a nice combination. As for drivers you need to use the Ciare 6.38MR3, as the horn and phase plug are designed for it. You could use any 1" but you'd need a good reason not to use the B&C DE250....

First of all: I don't think that the Limmer 308 and the Pornhorn are compareable. The Limmer has got a wider spread and isn't much bigger than a Nexo PS15. The recommended drivers (a good designed passive crossover plan is available) are B&C 12PE32 and DE700. I chose the 18Sound NSD 1480, imho the better HF driver with an active crossover. But the Pornhorn has got much more lowend than the limmer, a result of the long midhorn... ------------- I'm sorry for all faults, my knowledge of the english language is not the best |

all the prices are on the speakerstore.nl page in euros. you get what you pay for my experience of the 042 is overwhelmingly positive, got them for about £300 each including drivers, about the same as a decent 1.4" plus horn but dropping much lower. ------------- the only thing more dangerous than a person who doesn't give a f**k is a person who gives a sh*t. |

I compared measurements of the 1460Nd and the 1480NSD. The 1460NSD hasn't got enough sensivity in the top-end -> needs more equalization. The 1460Nd should work fine on the 308 flare, because it's nearly the same. speakerstore is the place, they are usually made to order afaik. email them- they're very helpful and friendly.

problem with pornhorn is the paudio midbass driver that isn't avaible anymore, or hard to find at least.
limmer P3 look good on paper, but haven't heard one yet.

without counting drivers the prices are Limmer 308-€513 Porn Horn Mk2 -€483 so depending on where you are and if you can get the drivers , shouldn´t be much of a biggi.
