Marked out rough cuts

Rough cuts done

marking up

marking up baffles

testing router jig

Gluing wood after making mistakes - did this on about three pieces... frustrating

Panels put together. Pleased and relieved with how well they fit together

Current state, screwed and glued

Most finished one, assembled (bar bracing)

Thanks...

Paint will be Aldcroft black (if they ever respond to my email about prices)

Got the drivers loaded in to one of them last night.  There's a strange buzz coming through them when hooked up to the amp so I'm checking all the wiring today.  Apart from that though they're sounding good.

Turned it up and got a bit of power going through it... nice.  Made it all worth it.

Yeah, here you are:

Note that the double lines denote an angled edge (cutting angle is 10.7 deg)

The blue "/" lines in the corners show you which way to cut the angled edge.  This works so that if you put the piece flat on a table and position it so that the the end with the two blue lines is facing you, then the way the line slopes at each corner is the way the saw blade slopes (looking down the line).

Also, one thing I found invaluable (which I wasn't sure was worth doing to begin with) is to mark all the pieces with a number, i.e. speaker 1 or 2, the letter of the piece, as on the cutsheet and which way is up and forward.

There's A LOT of wasted space in that cut sheet.

Maybe, but given that there's no way I could fit two X15s on one sheet, I think it worked out alright.

Cheers.  They sound good.  I spent ages playing about with the crossover points and the gain structure on my DCX but I recon I've pretty much got it sounding how it should.  Not having owned/built any other PA cabs before I haven't got much by way of reference points though.

Grills are from Markie off this forum - I previously bought some B+C Sub18 cabs off someone else and they had the same grills on them, so now I've got a matching set.

Even if you can't get two cabs out of one sheet I think you should be aiming for the biggest single piece of scrap left over after your build to use with your new projects.

Can you please also list your driver choices and your xover settings as looks like you're running active and not using the recommended drivers?

Nice build and liking the (newer) ridged grills from markie :)

Cheers,
Angus
