A mate of mine has just picked up four working examples of the Altex 604E drivers.  For those who don't know them, they're a 15" driver with a co-axially mounted compression driver.  These are about 1965 vintage.

We don't have any cabinets or crossovers but I'm sure we can do something exciting with them!

Any suggestions?

Well apart from the obvious, put them on ebay and sell them for a fortune to some valve hi-fi nut.....otherwise i guess you could make four nice close floor monitors with them Chris?..im pretty sure they would be to fragile and to valuable for main PA use.

I think we're more likely to use them for some kind of studio monitor.  Maybe we could use all four to make a surround sound setup!

Keep true to olden-days ethics and get yourself a quadrophonic amp, built four basic reflex boxes and hey presto, a truly vintage white elephant surround setup!
