I have four B&C 12PE32 drivers. Does anyone know if they will work in a mid horn? I read rog's faq, its seems they will perform well at least in the low mid. I like using them up to 4.8k though

A brief glance at the specs suggests they'd be good in a mid-horn such as the MT122.  Going by the manufacturers response plot I wouldn't recommend using them that high tho.  1.5k is as high as you can go before hitting some nasties (6dB notch at 2k then peaky up to 4k before rolling off).  I'm sure in an MT122 with a 2" comp driver (you'll need a meaty one to keep up) crossed at say 1.2k they'd be great.

What d'ya reckon about sticking them on porn horns anyone?

Ive also got two B&C 12PL32's, I think theyre called the 12PLB76 now or at least theyre similar. Id like to build two seperate mid horns for them, does anyone know if they will work in the mt122? I need good response from 180hz up to maybe 1200hz or 2k

Hello,

I've made four Mt122's with B&C 12PE 32. On Highs I've used B&C ME60 Horn and De750 Compression Driver. I'am using Drive rack PA with QSC Plx amplification to run it.I drive it upto 1.25K.

i've used it twice (Live & Recorded Music ) worked really well with 1850 cabinets.

ta thats great. Ive just finished building my first two 186's, theyre loaded with a paudio E18-600a, I havent had a chance to crank them up yet but they sound sweet right away. on high im using 4 b&c 12PE32's (direct) with 4 de12's. Im going to use the 2 12PL32's horn loaded 170hz to 390. I havent had a chance to test it all yet, im still building the tops. If it sounds ok Ill do an installation, its too heavy to cart around!!
What do the QSC plx sound like? worth getting over the rmx?

Hello,

QSC PLX3402 would give you 1100 watts @ 4 ohms per Channel. hey are great on the Mids.As of Highs I'am Using FBT HP400 Amplifier,(100 watts @ 8ohms),great to drive DE750, single or Two per channel. Used to use PLX on 1850 Bass, clean but not so good, goes overload very fast. Overall I feel PLX is better than RMX. MT 122 looks big but is light weight. so is 1850'..

For the Basses I've tried Beta3 chinese amplifier. Its just Raw power.1600 watts per channel at 4ohms for about USD 1200.Got good damping factor.I'am happy with them, till I've fund to buy branded stuff.QSC ( PL Series)

Ive got cs peavey mostly through. cs 1000x's on mid and on low mid and two bridged cs800's for bass. On highs ive got a rmx 850, which is clearer than the peavey. I havent had a chance to hear it all though
