I pulled out my old HIIH cabs today after fixing the dry joints on the power supply of the old Samson amp I use to drive the. Its been about 2 years since I last had them connected. After playing the living sh*t out of them in my lounge I put on some layed back Trip-Hop and then some Eric Clapton. I forgot how good these old f**kers sound! I think I'm gonna leave them connected up in the lounge for a while. They don't go loud as f**k but they sound SWEET! The old boys knew what they were doing! Should I go through the trouble of getting the cabs like the original? I'm sure I can get the carpet somewhere. I've still got the original filters inside the boxes, I only had to replace the Motorola Piezo's because the moths got to the diaphrams..... The boxes were rebuilt to the dimensions ond port sizing like of originals but no full grille and grey carpet. The original box: How the look now: ------------- www.aggressiveaudio.co.za |
