I've recently became owner of two vr8 abstract scanners (regular version, non rotating).

One is working perfectly
Other one has display/storage problems.

I isolated the problem to vr display board v1.2, the one with the displays and buttons on it.

When I move the 'good' board from the one machine to the other, the other machine works 100% then.  So the problem is definitely this pcb.  I also tried swapping the chip that is on it (firmware chip?), but the fault wasn't located here.

I checked with abstract themselves but haven't had an answer yet.
So in the meantime...
If anyone is having this board in working condition (from a broken machine for parts for example) or has it just as a spare, and is willing it to sell to me.  I would be very happy.  I know these lights don't go for big money these days, but i'm always happy when I'm able to repair some equipment.

I'm located in Belgium, but can pay perfectly through paypal or wire transfer.

Picture as promised.  I believe the chip (eprom) most on the left has some data in it that perhaps is damaged/lost.    Swapping the big chip in the socket with the one from the other machine doesn't change anything.
