Am thinking about building two 186 Horns now and planning on building 2 more in the future so will have four to get the best from them. But the future could end up being a while away.

Would it make sense to build two and wait, while the  two keeping me happy enough for a while.

Or building a different type of cab now, then in the future building 4 of the horns?

Was planning on loading with PD186 and doing them as best I could.

Cheers J

2 are ok, they wont get very low tho (about 50 hz)
4 is when things start coming together

So would it make more sense to build two of these and then two different things in the future. Cause as I understand it 50hz doesn't sound as low as music gets? Or would only being able to get to 50hz acceptable?

Or in a four I assume they would get lower?

it would make sense to build 2 now and 2 more later - dont mix and match. in a group of 4 they will drop much lower.

As a thought then, would I be better building a pair of Hogs instead to cover the lower range and go with a scoop.

Was looking at both of them but for an unknown reason decided on the horn, rather than scoop. Dont have alot of space and the Hogs are quite a bit bigger . . .

Hogs or the Horns?

Wont be used with a live band often I don't imagine and usually Dub, Dubstep and Funk to be played through them.

Hogs all the way..they aren't that much bigger and are very well suited to Dub of all varietys.
Also great for live work so we've been told and are suprisingly punchy higher up if used that way.Had techno banging out of mine on newyears and was pleasently suprised.

Have just read quite alot of good stuff about the hogs. I guess it would be them then. Bit more to spend on the drivers and amp but it can only be worth it. Thankyou
