Hello. I thinking about a passive cooling of the VOID V18 1000 in the 1850 Horns. I would use heatpipes:  Did you have temperature problems with your 1850? At which powerlevel? Regards,Chris ------------- [GER-User] |

No temperature problems at any power level - the cabinet is designed to work with the pd1850 driver pretty well. Perhaps if you're using void drivers you'd want the loonie bin? I think you just wanted to show off some little graphics stuff personally...

Void v18-1000 works fine in the 1850 horn. I never had any thermal problems with the PD1850 in the 1850 horn. Even at pretty extreme power levels (1500w+ of music) I never blew a driver in that cab. IMO you would be trying to solve a problem which doesn't really exist. If you are intent on trying to squeeze ever tiny little bit of SPL possible from every cab it may help, but you'd be better off being sensible with the power and getting more cabs instead. ------------- me so horny, me love you long throw. |

water cooling has been employed in car audio. maybe look into water cooled pc systems too? though as stated you shouldnt be having any cooling issues that need rectifying. ------------- REFLEX ALL THE WAY.... (however, im playing with horns again...) That ok Mister Valiant? :) |

I thought one of the main reasons for using a PD1850 was because they're designed for low power compression.
