great stack, really like the look of that

but for 7 way, with loads of different type boxes you really need to go digital with the lms so you can do some time alignment

those subs look immense!

i was looking at a sound card with 7 outs that could be configerd to run as a crossover
i was also thinking of making some barn door extentions for the bins thay go down to 28hz when coupled i was told dont no how true this is. would barn door extentions help me get lower bass or dose it just make it throw beter

Where did you get the plan for your F2B?

There is something really good looking about an old skool stack...that Altec multicell looks nice.

You sure that's an F2b plan? the proportions/front profile of that cabinet in the photo look more more a 215mk111 to me......the F2b would be fatter (or higher in this case,as its laying on its side)

i used to have a pair of westrex 200hz multi cell horns same size as those, with Vitavox s2's on the back. they looked and sounded stunning...but just too big for me. Sold them to a bloke who drove from the french alps to get them, he wanted them for his hifi!

the plans for the f2 were from this sight posted by james indst

thanks for the link toastyghost

my multy cell came from a mental asylum i saw it sat on the stage all bent and brused i fell in love with it 6 months later 2 return visits and a hell of a lot of panal beating and fixing
it now gets used daly insted of waiting for the bull dosers to squash it

good save!

most of those were installed in cinemas, the design dates from the late 30's i think! 1 of those with a 2" driver, a 10w valve amp + a twin  15" bass section = sound for 1000 people!

What a beautiful stack.

I'd love to see flared horn mouths for the 4x18's. That would be a absolute killer.

dylan take a look at the "ashly xr4001" its a 4-way stereo 7-way mono analouge crossover

7 way sounds like it should be a delay/phase/eq/dispersion/combing/level/limiting nightmare! Get yourself a second hand soundweb for £400. That would give you the best flexability to fix as many of these problems as possible.

You're a big man, but you're in bad shape. With me it's a full time job. Now behave yourself.
