thanks guy's
I have used my new wood design on these, which is a hardwood ply and mdf laminate, very strong an far superior to birch ply, the weight of these is my favourite, very light, but a big sound.
no need for back breaking cabs any more
@space-face, you can't buy countersunk allen key bolts here, so I'm waiting on a import delivery, and these had to do for now
@Danny A, its a light weight 3 way top, or fullrange Trap cab 15'' 10'' 1'', full neo loaded
@audio habbit, thats the 1'' horn, yes there is a comp
I will put up some pic's of the new C4-T in a few days

Is the horn for the comp shaped that way to give better coverage under the horizontal axis than above? I guess this would make sense as speakers are usually above the audience. If this is the case why not just angle a horn with a 'normal' profile downwards a little.

I had 3 local renowned sound engineers in for the sound check. all Powersoft users. They took a big interest in the matrix rack. When we'd done the fine tuning on the LMS the rig sounded great, so I've offered them out for a clash: Matrix vs Powersoft. They agreed but looked slightly worried at the prospect Well done Andy!!!! For any doubters out there - These amps are very serious kit!!!!!!!!

There were no punters there . Was just a sound check to get the berry delays/limiters fine-tuned with the amps...oh and to run the drivers in a bit more. Only it's 2nd outing so far. Next week it's getting it's maiden operational flight at a 2 day festival. They'll be well hidden for that.

Torture gardens was fine jace (for those of us who didn't know what it was). Didn't have to explain what goes on in there honest!

i worked a fetish night once... had a call from the promoter.. went to see what was wrong.. couldn't find him... eventually noticed him in the corner, totally naked, on all 4s with with a pint of beer on his back..
asked what was wrong.. and (bear in mind there were 4 girls tied to a spiders web being whipped on stage) he said the lights are flashing too fast its making the men masturbate by the front of the stage.
"oh, erm ok.. i'll er,.. sort that out" i've never spoke to a man pretending to be a table before.. not sure on the etiquette of dealing with fetish promoters to this day.. but i left the building very fast. it seemed the right thing to do!

Have done a few raunchy shows over the years but this one might leave the crew scarred for life, witness to things that should remain un -thought and un-said and certainly unknown.. Trauma counselling is needed.. Security all went and stood outside in the cold, even the promoter was shaking his head and hiding in the control booth. .....

Those green mids look like the ones I built back in Bristol. They're not MDF boxes painted in fencing paint are they? I remember bending the ply for them in my bath using a pile of bricks (wonder if it is that pair?).

may very well be mate
They are mdf and are painted in what i guessed was normall room paint. I got all 4 of them (2 green and 2 black coppies) off this forum from someone in west london who got them from Disco Tim from Oxford. No Idea who owned them before then but im sure the black ones where built as a direct copy of the green ones.
Still they do the job and sound pretty solid even if they are really battered and full of water now. Be interesting if they were yours once upon a time.

i like the look of the mt121s... they've been featured on here before haven't they? what's that in the high section of them?

nothing i haven't posted before... but sure why not. friends of mine do a show called "the gramophone disco" where they play music with a strict pre 1960 policy, and run it as a late night "speakeasy" at festivals over here. so i did that for a weekend recently. good fun.

My baby system
Nothing fancy, pair or reflex fane 15xb, pair of multipurpose cabs, ie wedge monitors with a pole socket in one end, 12" eminence and 1" BMS. Run 3 way from PSL, T amp and ultradrive.
This system makes me more money than anything else I own, mainly because it is out so often.
Next size up
This is the smallest system I use for live gigs, pair of 12"+1" as in the other system, plus a pair of punishers each side. In this setup the punishers are powered by a 1200w/side amp and are plenty loud enough. The gig pictured above ended at 2 am when the cops turned up due to lots of complaints about very loud music. I did try to tell the customer that it was maybe a bit loud, but he didn't care.
