Was it running out of truss or headroom in the marquee?

Seems to be the case of last one. It is one support around stage and back line seems to run out of clearance. And because of that front line is left out because it would have been to low.

Posted By: jacethebase
Date Posted: 01 August 2010 at 6:21pm
We only used the front 3 ways purely to get the extra 500mm or so to stick some cans on to was the front of stage. Height was a massive issue tho :(
Was still around 20 meters of truss on the van.

You can get horizontal corners in bilite, handy to have in stock for these moments. Rake the sides to get more clearance. Not cheap though I know

Yeah thats a good idea. Im still learning loads with the whole lighting thing. Have been rigging it for years but the whole design thing i find really hard as I dont seem to have that natural arty flair so have to try even harder. May mate James is very good he does most of our lighting.

32! Big smile

Have you thought of replacing the XBs with 1850/1851 or V18s at some point?

Posted By: jacethebase
Date Posted: 28 August 2010 at 1:39pm
Yeah there will be 1850's going in them at some point, Just waiting for a bigger company to do a driver replacement so we can bulk buy second hand cheap.
To be fair the XB's are doing us fine as we rarely go out with less than 6 a side so couple together, any less than 2 a side dont bother then sound wank.

Page 1 would be Godney farm just outside of Glastonbury.

We have never used more than 16 at one time. Never needed too. Got a gig in a few weeks where we will be using 8 a side and 6 in the middle for a concert of a Well known drum and bass act.

Popped in a few times at bedlam, had the ducting in that room rattling nicely LOL

That stack running fane's or pd's? Noticed you'd removed the cross bracing, they separate bins to the previous or something go awry?

Posted By: jacethebase
Date Posted: 07 February 2011 at 11:10am
They had the Fanes in didnt you see the graphic ;)

Yeh i got busy with a saw on the 12 I personaly own as when we had them made the CNC company put the brace to low and was pushing the air out to the side and back towards the driver.
That ducting was a nightmare! You should have heard it during sound check thought the building was going to fall down!
We had 2 Inf 8's run them up to around 10 amps each in sound check and the council were not happy to say the least i kept them to around 5 amps each while I was there. The council restricted us to 92db at the back of the room. I managed to keep it around 97-98db and also keep them sweet. I left at 3 so god knows what happened then!
Shame as we had the power, had the system Id have loved to have Spanked the place!!!

There was a Yammy graphic in the control rack. Use Smaart to get the system flat and then how good / bad the DJ wants to make it sound is up to him! Had a few diffrent settings to componsate for temp & people.
Aghh Maires banners you wouldnt belive the hassle the boys went through to put that bloody banner up!
We're in Glastonbury Friday night if your around come say hello.
