I don't think that even warrants an answer! What other designs are you talking about? Read the threads in this very sub-forum mate!

They arn't as efficient as designs such as the 1850, but still make one helluva racket once you get a reasonable stack, they also have the advantage of being tiny!

Re. efficiency, I think some people are under the (wrong) impression that punishers are inefficient, due to there being a lot of talk of putting 1500w into each punisher and that they won't work properly with anything less. This is not true. Whilst they will handle a fair amount of power (I don't know how much, I've never blown a driver) I have had great results using them with a few hundred watts each. Obviously more power means more volume though..

I've put nearly 2k each through my Punishers! Sounded awesome. If I had any hair I could've dried it in no time with my head in front of them.

Re number of sheets for the Xtro. I've just built 2 and used 2 sheets each. Re drivers, I''d use what Walt recommends.

18Sound 15ND930 low/ mid                  £200.00 each

B&C 8PE21  mid/ top                            £115.00 each

XT8 Horn                                               £125.00 each

B&C DE-500  high freq                         £200.00 each

Beyma TD-245 short horn                      £ 30.00 each

Give or take a fiver on the prices.
