Buckfast? Brewed by monks, drunk by punks LOL
Now this is a real beer:
These days I find anything brewed south of Sheffield generally not to my taste. Exceptions include St Peter's brewery from Suffolk and Wychwood near Oxford.
Black Sheep Ale I can drink by the gallon. I once went into the Theakston's brewery tap in Masham and, not realising which pub I was in, asked for a pint of it LOL
Still the Old Peculier was the best I've ever had and they didn't even spit in it....

Autograff, you're in severe danger of becoming an honorary Southerner. Italian lager, indeed! Alright for necking outside a bar in the heat of summer, will certainly not warm your cockles in typical Sheffield weather and ALWAYS, for me, wrecks the head the next day. Not to mention making you piss every two minutes.
Get outside some of this, it'll put hairs on the hairs on your chest.

I've had that Delerium Tremens stuff, it's bloody foul. If you want silly% beer, there's always Special Brew....

If you want REALLY silly % beer, there's always Brewdog...

Although at 41% that's not their strongest ever offering. They made one last summer called The End Of History. They only made 12 bottles, it was 55% and rather bizarrely each bottle came presented in a stuffed squirrel! About £500 each IIRC.

My current favourite beer, it's absolutely nothing like your stereotypical American lager (eg bud):

Was driving around Napa valley on a rare day off from work when we came across a beer festival held on the town square. Was really impressed with their beers, got a load free when they found out we were from the UK as they genuinely wanted our opinion as they had formulated some of the beers on UK recipe’s.
One was a dead ringer for "Old Peculiar"

LOL

The Delerium range is lovely to me , can't stand most strong ales/beers but I could drink tremens/noel/nocturnum all day (aslong as I could stay standing).

European lagers have always been a guilty pleasure , especially the Italian ones .
I do drink my fare share of ales too don't worry , I prefer Pale Rider to Easy Rider , and Fursty Ferret is buy on sight.

Can't beat a good brandy for warming yourself up though.

tip for exotic beer lovers of north london (or just someone passing through)- jack's off license on stroud green road N4 has the most unbelievable selection of beers, ales and ciders which seems completely out of place in a small unassuming offy. they have drinks you'd never expect to see in this country at all let alone a standard corner shop. it's not unlikely that all the beers on this thread are available there.

Singha is my favourite, it's 6 percent but still tastes great - I usually stock up on this by the case!

Runners up would be Tiger, Cobra, Corona (with a slice of course!) and for bitters I enjoy Harveys, Pedigree or similar.
