I believe the "big speaker" is a 1980's Jamo? The two consoles are low-end budget things, nasty when they were new,and havn't improved over the years....novelty value only?

They would have been very old in 1988, these must both be 72, 73?

Got to be early 70's for the FAL and late 70's (poss early 80's judging by the decks) for the Linear.
I used to have a Super Seventy... bloody awful thing!

LOL
I do love old vintage equipment Tony, but only if it was quality to start with.

Had a call from a pal last week,he was clearing someone's garage...

friend  "Hi Ian,there is a couple of big old speakers in this garage,do you want them?

me "what do they look like?"

friend "they are covered in that black plastic leather look stuff"

me "Is there any maker's mark or badge?"

friend "it say Moby Disco on the back near the plug, are they worth anything?"

me  "No".

A wonderful old crap collection.

I fixed loads of those old FAL and Linear units back in the 70's and early 80's.

They were so good back then I used to reccomend them for ballast in yachts, bonfire infill, or for a gutsy bloke, take out the turntables and see how far you get as a canoe.

I beleive I still have some FAL diagrams here. Could be time to burn them.LOL
