Ever thought of doing this?

It could do some weird things or you could get some useful cavity loading especially in a trapezoid cab.

I'm trying to work out how to make a compact 2x12 + 1.4" cab.  Although I'm using an XT1464 flare which is not compact in any sense!

Peavey had great luck with that style loading! the HDH series if I recall correctly.

You're right, and EV are fond of their manifold loading. I guess the proof will be in the prototyping!

What I ended up doing:

Which works very well indeed but mainly due to my driver choice.
