Yeah guys.. I finally did the upgraded from the berry cx3400 to dcx2496...

Thing is the modded X15's has Dayton XO2W-2K 2-Way Crossover 2,000 Hz installed in them... along with 100w adjustable L-PADS...

My question is do I need to remove the l-pad and passive crossovers to use the dcx2496 on the X15's? And what about the configuration of the speakon connections?

I really would like to use the dcx on the X15's I think it will be a massive improvement in sound quality and range...

The new rig :
Pair of Pioneers CCDJ-1000MK3
Pioneer DJM-400 Pro Dj Mixer
Behringer PMP530M 5 channel mixer
Behringer DCX2496 unit
Pair of Modded X15 Cabs (Loaded with Selenium D220Ti & 15" Celestion NTR15-3018E)
Pair of Modded Beyma SB18 cabs (Loaded with 18" Celestion FTR18-4080FD)

Oh shucks I forgot to add the berry ep4000...

You'll need to bi - wire your x15s  and remove the passive xover.

so it will go dcx - (xover signal for compression drivers) - to amp (for compression drivers) - compression drivers
dcx - (xover signal for 15" in x15) - to amp (for the 15") to 15" drivers

Hope that helps

Remove the passives and re-wire (bi-wire) x15's using the 2 sides (left n right) of the amp... one for  the 15" and the other for comp driver...

So in essence it's a NO NO using dcx or any electronic xover into a cabinet with passive xovers... gotcha...
