haha yeah we where going to get a sidecar for our D1 but its going up for sale now so no point

those first aid kits are usually replaced with a small tool kit and there very rare so i imagine just the first aid kit would be expensive

thanks guys Approve
still work in progress but pretty happy with it so far...
the top 2 pics are from last nights gig, was pretty funny when a lighting bar and dimmer pack fell out the ceiling about 2 hrs in and i was asked to turn the bass down LOL
bins are loaded with v-18 1000's and the tfl's are all original, I still want some kicks and a pair of 21"s underneath so i can run it 6 way but iv only been doing it for about a year and its an expensive hobby by yourself, im doing a stage at NASS festival this year so will hopefully gain a little bit of recognition and will be able to invest in some more kit Big smile

may i ask what the skytech amp is powering?

Posted By: dj haydn
Date Posted: 10 July 2012 at 2:08pm
yeah the skytec amp is for dj moniters, its ok as long as its not pushed near clip as it just sounds harsh but i def wont miss it as soon as i can afford a replacement, to be honest tho for an amp that is gunna be shoved in a booth not in a rack for a few moniters its fine :)

Why on earth would you want to run a 6 way system? And mix 21s under 18s... Floods like tight tho

Posted By: dj haydn
Date Posted: 12 July 2012 at 5:27pm
correct me if im wrong but wouldnt the 21"s drop lower than the 18"s? i was thinking of using them from 60hz down to 20hz so they would be acting as a dedicated sub or is that a bad idea? tbh after hearing the stack as pictured above i think im going to invest my money into some lights or something because she was sounding just fine :)

where do you cross between the turbo bins and tthe floods?

Posted By: dj haydn
Date Posted: 29 September 2012 at 11:38pm
the kicks are running from 80-180hz and the low mids on the floods from 180-1.32khz, i think they are crossed with a 24db butterworth filter but without checking im not 100%

You sure that's alpha and not a coupe stacks of Dynacord Cobra?

Looks like a midnight mango production in the palace. I expect an APR outing.

good spot jase, didn't look all that close assumed with was the chaps from Clockwork audio again with the Alpha, although they seem more KV2 nowadays. Nick is one of the best system techs/engineers i have worked with though...

I must say the front of house guy that goes around with that band is one of the worst I have ever come across! Many a job I've been working as a system tech and ended up mixing the band as he didn't under stand the desk..... Usually a H3K or something along those lines not exactly complicated.

Yeah APR Dynacord cobra. Speaker wise; Not a bad setup but nothing mind blowing imo, just a good all rounder for live music I guess... backing tracks not withstanding... lol

Glad you said that Jace... I've had a similar experience.
