THIS EDITION ALLOWS SOUNDS TO BRING 4 SUBS MAX. A sound can bring upto 4 sub boxes no bigger than a scoop with each sub cab comprising a max of 1 driver (2 drivers if reflex). Kick,upper bass or low mid cabs are also allowed but must play kick, high bass or high mid frequencies only!! All scoops will be classed as sub duty cabs only. WILL STICK TO THIS THEORY!!! EACH SOUND IS ENTITLED TO AT LEAST ONE 32amp CEEFORM CONNECTION REGARDLESS AT WHAT TIME THEY ARRIVE SoundSystem Sound-Off is a SoundCheck after all, but we would still like to see sounds entertaining the punters with music and vibes with their microphones as this is key to keeping these kind of events alive! |

Respects to Motion54 & crew, and all sounds/patrons who were at the event. Of course, was there to primarily hear Spartacus, nice surprise to see Urban Sounds playing on Motion 54 set. Sounded cleaner than clean, round, just needs small tuning to get scoops really throwing. Fairly good turn out, plenty of big sound men there, excellent vibes watching Mens 100M final in intermission.  After session official finish, still some vibing going on, Some Eternity techs assisting with Spartacus tower... Outcome inevitable.. ------------- Global Depopulation - Alive and Killing. |

Maximum Respect to the other 3 Sounds that represented this event. Biggup Jah Yoot Foundation, Spartacus, and Musical Touch. Give thanks to all who attented even, with other events going inc athletics and Brixton splash etc A big thanks to Kutty for lending me his Powersoft K10 for the night. I just want to clear any confusion in relations to Urban Connection. Trevor Sax, Moody Ranks Senator Zero and Motion54 have come together as a Coalition to give birth to Urban Connection!! Each member has simply brought their best assets to the table.......... Trevor Sax - his selection and entertaining skills, Moody Ranks - his selection and entertaining skills, Senator Zero - his entertaining and engineering skills and Motion54 their Soundsystem!!!' Each member still have their own identities and this wont ever change but together we are Urban Connection Expect big tings from Urban Connection on the circuit, and every so often we might appear in future sound-offs!! Was down for a couple of hours or so, a most enjoyable session. Obviously we enjoyed Jah Yoot Foundation with the vinyl section a going on! Loved the Spartacus bass line and mid top section, maybe need a dedicated kick (but that just personal taste). Musical Touch sounding tuff, but I have to admit the strobes in the top boxes did get a little annoying for me, and bass was a little muddy at times (again personal taste), and Urban Connection were always gonna be heavy with that collective involved, nice. All in all a good sound check, big up Motion 54 crew, and all involved in putting on this event. ------------- Stone Lion Sound System, The Garden City Rockers. It's all about the music & the vibe. |

Big love and respect to all the sounds who took part and all the people who came down. Big Respect to Urban Connection for bringing the TV so we could catch some history being made!! lol Had a wicked night as always. On a side note, big respect has to go to Moody Ranks of Urban Connection, my man set the family vibes from the very start and it made for one of the best sound checks iv'e attended. Big Respect. Jay
