Problem though...  Where to put the shopping bags 'n' stuff when you got passengers???

I tried 18" woofer grills, but they seem to dent inward from the force of heavier baggage...  Plus they don't provide much clearance for sound if covered.

I can't seem to find any perforated sheet metal from the local DIY Depots...  I just might have to resort to using large BBQ grills

Any suggestions???

You could build a cargo cage that stands off over the top of the box out of shelving steel or something, maybe even with a lip, to keep things from sliding off, etc..    This would give you a place to put cargo, and still allow the subs to breath plentiful.
