The system i took to halls. Bit over the top for my box room but at least i can drown out all the cheesy euro house with heavy roots

I briefly had this in my kitchen when I lived in halls :P. Which uni are you at if you don't mind me asking?

iirc Dissident started off based in Goldney (posh as !) halls at UoB!

Us Flat 19 Scum (just behind the Grecian nr the Arches on Glouc. Rd in Bristol) got enough trouble off our non-pro gear to get the OB called I decided against bringing in anything heavier ;)

Luckily our warden was a bit of a wreckhead who spent her summers at the uk/french/etc/tek tings, so turned a blind eye and deaf ear to our sillyness :)...

Fun times :)

Heres what we got up to last year in the basement of our house in Sheffield! Started off building one Cubo and just never stopped :P when it came to moving them out they didnt fit through the door either! We had to unscrew the door off its hinges :S

In our basement which was about 4m Squared!

The finished product!

In action :)

Please tell me that never went into your house and was switched on!! ConfusedWacko Very nice system though!!

Last year we had this in our living room for a number of days:

And later in the year my housemate ended up leaving 2 stasys X's and 2 Stasys 3's in his room for a month or so, never had the chance to switch it on though  OuchSleepyBroken Heart

Iv got two TXD115m's and two 12" ported horns designed by pfly spare for my front room this year, its a tiny little terrace house on a quiet street.... So far!

Haha course no! Even the cubos were overkill to the max, we had em on about 1/8th of there power all year. Very nice full sound though! The rig above lives in my mums garage, and if she had her way, it wouldn't even live there!

I like the horns you just posted a picture of, they look very terra horn-esque!

my second year uni set up. nowt like most of the systems on here . more of a hi fi but still, its at uni with me ...

actively bi amped kef cresta 2's with a kef psw2000 sub ran from a ppx 300 as the internal amp went bang.
all inputs go through the teac dac on top (with a fixed output) and either straight into the crossover and i just use that as a pre/volume control . or i use the valve amp as a pre if im listening to anything seriously . at my desk iv got a nad integrated amp and some jbl control 1 pros :) .

Yep - D block was quality. The flat wasn't quite as posh once we'd circular sawed off bits of the chairs as we didn't have a workbench though LOL

Bending the horn sections for our mids using the bath was my favourite though.

Finally got round to uploading some pics of what i currently have in my house at uni. The first couple of pics are in the living room, but we do have a basement in which its usually all set up in. I'll put up some pics of that later. We have also had threats from EHO's as well so we have been keeping it down for bit.
This Is my new martin F12+ tops and a pair of W Bins loaded with PD156's
Here Is the Rack, I knocked up the cab with some spare MDF just to fit everything i needed at uni in. Amps and LMS are cheap for the moment but they work.

Here's the back.

Yeah thats right :) Nope, still 4 at the moment, I know the picture you're thinking of though. To keep the height of the stack down we stacked the USBs standing up next the invaders. There are another 4 being built at the moment though, and we already have 2/4 of the drivers needed :P

Is this one of those house parties where they find a flat willing to have an after party for there night and get some good DJs and a big sound system in? Heard of something similar in glasgow

Yeah that's the sort, Red bull music academy.
Its a load of rubbish: they get them djs, drinks, a bouncer and cups for some reason but they don't get them a sound system. This has resulted in the last few being a night of distorting peaveys on sticks and just complete flop...
We had to change that! that was their kitchen space... there wasn't much room left with all the speakers in there Smile
