Rite... i know a few of you like to play with lights too....

Here we go, my casino wants to put up a rgb led message board around our out door canopy. Its solid metal and sticks out 3-4 metre asn is 2.5-3 metres wide so all in all i need something that will wrap around 3 sides of it approx 8-11 metres of 30cm-40cm high. I dont care how its controlled. I just need it to display text and small pictures if i can... DMX boards or something custom.

Im sure they wont mind spending £2-3k on it or there abouts...

Anyone point me in the right direction as to what YOU think i really need.

Cheers guys

I'll cheak back wen im up again at 13:00 ish as iv just finished work and need sleep lol

Check with your local Highways and Development Control Departments at the Council before going any further with this should your display be visible from a Highway and capable of distracting drivers......

Cheap LED wall and video content? I can point you in the right direction for a hire. We did the video screen on the mirrorball in the links below

You should have gone to plasa, every other stand had the bloody things on it.
Have a look in the Plasa magazine (is it light & sound) I'm sure you'll fine some there but you may want to up your budget 10-15 grand for anything sensible.
I've been looking at small stuff to put on a Dj console and gave up when getting quotes £1500 to £2000 for something pretty basic.

You won't get anything of that size that will show med res graphics including the source / control for £3k.
Even the cheap far eastern no brand gear you'd need to spend double that.

£3k budget?  Haha, that'll probably get you 10 panels from China, but no where near enough for this size project.

Those are 48" square and about 5 grand each so you need a few to make up the length the poster needs and they are not really for extended use outside.

Just out of interest instead of buying one have you thought of leasing one?

In terms of hiring Coloursound's 20mm pitch screen is about £140/ sq. metre / month in a year long contract install. That is the screen going around the giant mirrorball in my link above. They also have a 37mm pitch screen that would be cheaper. Call Haydn on 02089659119 for more info
Where abouts is the casino?
