45 or 135, depends which way you pass through the saw. So 45 deg.

The drw still mkes a triangle when you move the 382mm  up to the 470 sides. The back corner is 90 deg. A triangle has 180 deg. The remaining 90/2 = 45..

wont be 2x 45 degree angles as the two long sides are not equal....  ie 430 and 470

however I'll be damned if I can remember how to work it out exactly but I'm sure there's some trigonometry required and I'm far to long out of school for this one... sorry  Cry

what i gave you is the angles between the 2 lines, the 180mm line, and the 382.

when it comes to cutting wood, pick something doable on the saw, and good to join up...

did it in cad quickly...

Just looked at this with my glasses on!

Oooh, eck. There are two sides of the Pentagon different!

From a constuction point of view why the heck make hard work. Make both the subs same.
A pentagon has 540 deg internal. Therefore; 90+90+90= 270. 540 - 270 =270. Therfore 270/2 = 135 or 45 on a saw bench. However the substrates are different lengths and the Google sketch is correct.
So to compose a completion.. 540 -270=270/2=135. Correct for a regular Pentagon (polygon) for this application where the subs are different the remainder of 270 deg is divided into 2 different angles. From Cravings and Jez cheating Google sketch 270- 49.2-40.8=180. Flip the timber over 180 and that is nulled. So External cuts= 49.2 and 48.8 deg. WTF!. Just cut it at = lengths, have a beer and enjoy a simple life.

If I cut it at equal lengths it wouldn't be a floor wedge then would it

A door wedge? it would be 45 deg.  Many are at 45. EAW for example have 45, 30 etc.
It's quite steep as it is at 40 deg.

right then, seems im going to have a go at this then.

would this cut list be right ??

baffle = 434 x 714
bottom = 470 x 430
top= 470 x 430
left side 430 x 714

then the smaller angled from right to left
1 = 180 x714
2 = 418 x 714
3 = 162 x 714

i know there sa few angles and the top and bottom will need cutting to shape, but am i right with these cut sizes?
