the mini turbo scoop is a scaled down version of the rear horn loaded scoop with internal adjustments calibrated with a db meter and spectrum analyser in order to give you the close if not same high powererd deep bassline as the larger version of the box at a given frequency ie 30 40 50 hertz .Its a tuff box and can be nearly lifted up by one man check mr ultimate in west mids for more info he's good

most people here build their own boxes, but i'm sure that info will be of use to someone. i get the impression he'll take on whatever you need.

regarding scoops, i find the taller bins easy to get in and out of the van as i can rock them in and flip them so the weight is at the bottom at the same time, a one man job. heavy stubby things are a two man lift for me, my spine has suffered from this hobby and has aged prematurely...

anyway, some pictures of your little ones would be nice.

True JSP.

I'll be trying the Void V-18 1000, PD186 & PD1850 in mine soon when I pop up there to see what I'm finally going to go with. I wonder what the PD neo 18'' would be like in them or any other Neo 18'' driver actually.

We tried the 18'' Volt driver in one last time but it wouldn't fit (rear chamber board too near)

I wanted to test them with my JTS pre-amp but it's in for service/upgrade at the moment. (It can play a bit lower then them mixers, you get me)

'Njoy them.

Laterz.

JSP how's them cabs going ?

You rock down any where with them yet ?

Be up there this coming w/end I hope, as mine are finally finished. Will be bringing a couple different drivers with me to see what this scoop can really do & If they can drop as good as they look.

Catch up with you & the guys soon.

They look so criss loaded with the PDs...

4 of these should give us what we want.

Conclusion:

PD1850 run tings.

V18-1000 let me down big time!!! That's why it's parked up to one side.

I used the Mini-Scoop I got from 'Ultimate Sounds' in the Midlands which was loaded with a PD1850 in a Community Center Hall yesterday, along with one of Shortman's full scoops loaded with a Void v18 at the other end of the hall.

I can tell you, I'd wasted my time bringing the rest of the scoops with me (well good for back-up), just the 2 of them was more than low enough on bass line.

The owner of hall had to tell me there's no way can I play the system like that all night, as the bass too heavy & would affect the neighbours & the local pub across the road.

Big up yourself Ultimate Sound, the Mini-Scoop sounds ruff.

If Jamo S P doesn't let you know, when I get them off the van, I'll let you know Dipix99.

Don't know where you're located, but the builder is in West midlands.

A builder in South London makes them too & his size are:

35'' high

30'' deep

23'' wide

Cheers.

Thanks for the move JBL.

It's strange, as that looks bigger than Shortman's Mini scoop.
