Does anyone know the best way to detect and repair mp3 files with currupt tags?

Got over 30,000 mp3 files whereby some have developed tag issues when transferred to another harddrive.

Causing havoc with my dJ software.

When you say run them through DB power amp converter.
What do you do exactly?
Do you just encode them to mp3?

Yes,re-encode them...takes about 10 seconds for an average 10mb track..i allways select the output  quality to 320kbs.

Was just a little concerned that re-encoding actually causes a slight loss in mp3 quality each time it's encoded.
Would prefer a solution whereby the tag was edited only.
