hiya

this main seem dumb questionSmile but i want to ask it for years man , my story as a kid i allways dremt about owning one of these at the time around 83-85 just used to love them, thay used to sell in Catalogues (pay weeky ectBig smile) years ago but could afford one i belive there were around 500-600£ if i remember right? not to sure tho

so in respect to all orther decks at the time how good was it?

Yes,probually was around 5 or 600 hundred back in the mid 80's.

Fal were seen as a bit of poor second choice to Citronic though...if you had the £600 for one of these,you were allways better off spending an extra £100 and buying a Citronic.

The Citronics had better turntables (and arms),better mixer,and better amplifier modules,and also looked so much nicer with the hardwood plinths and cases.

... and the Pheonix was just the newer version of the Ranger, albeit with cheaper decks, parts, case etc etc.

Has anyone seen my anorak?

the turntables were a bsr import after they shut the Birmingham plant

the cases were made in the same factory in leeds as they always had been

wish i had taken a camera at the time of the auction when fal shut, i think the auction was over 2 days followed by another 2 days removing all the stuff i boughtLOL
