Longtime ago, I wanted to be able to "negociate" with frequencyes UNDER 25Hz, "mine best friends on audio", but for that, must have sometring REAL strong.

200 liter internal volume usable (after all reinforcements),18" Maelstrom X Gen 2 speaker, and space to place the infrabass speaker.

And some tests, take patience and watch movies entirely, preferable on 1080p.Wink

Absolutely.

200 liters PERFECT sealed enclosure.

If I push the cone of speaker inside, it take couple seconds to get back.

No need extra 3-4 db spl of reflex enclosure, tuned at 17-18Hz, as I need the lowest freq that the speaker can reproduce, that's why I choose to be sealed enclosure.

I felt some trepidations at around 8-9Hz, that I cannot hear, but I feel it.

The feeling is absolute.

That looks SOLID. Some say you can make yourself sick with too much 7Hz, so be careful LOL

So, if I get sick with 7Hz, SleepyI will heal with 15Hz! Tongue

As far as I remember the company that designed that woofer is no longer in business. Finding an 18-inch woofer that offers an fs of 17 Hz is not easy these days.

The average 18 would lose so much efficiency below 20 Hz the only thing you would hear is mechanics of the speaker emitting sound trying to reach 7 Hz.

Best Regards,

Best Regards,
Yes , I know.

I made this InfraBass, just for home use, for movies, gaming, and music, of course.

Officially, that speaker will not handle more than 2-300W, so his life will be "forever".

I know also, generally all speaker will lose efficiency under fr (17,4Hz), but being sealed enclosure, also freqs UNDER fr, will be usable, too even at lower spl, but those will be there, compairing to an ported enclosure, tunned at any freq, wich response at freq under tunned ports, is degrading(missing) instantly.

Also that's why I choose too, mine cabinet to be sealed.

Dedicate to all my neighboors.

No more than 9-10 volts rms on speaker (under 30 watts).

Osciloscope probe are directly on sub input, to observe signalwave, frequency and voltage.

Very very NICE sounds there, the infrabass played all those sounds untill 14Hz, felt like a moving air in the room, but heard!

Thumbs up  LOL.

All this reminds me a 300L 3-chamber band pass experiment with my first 18" driver some 20 years ago...

Tried my contraption with my roadie friend at his home with brick laid walls. After 10 minutes of intensive infrasonic testing, friends missus from other end of the house came and was jumping all over the walls, screaming "what is this I can't stand it any more!"

That's my experience with strongly audible 18Hz and psycho acoustics and standing waves inside a structure.

Power used was only 100Wrms or so.

That's nothing special,  I've seen various peoples wives behave like that without the need for any audio to encourage them ;)
