Just curious on opinions, thinking of upgrading. We play heavy bass and need loud crisp tops that cross nicley with our es18bph cabs.

At the moment we cross subs 35-80 kicks 80-200 and pick the rest up with full range pa speakers. Cheers for all and any input.

How many tops are you planning on running each side?

MT122 are great but have very narrow dispersion so you would need atleast 2-3 a side to give a wider dispersion.

mt130 also a very popular design.

Thanks, we plan for two per side initially and then get another two later. Can you Reccomend anything like this?

Sorry I mean is there any other designs that would work? Maybe single 15 + 2" comp really want to keep down to single amp and want to be able to daisy chain two per channel on the amp

You won't need a 15 inch top if you are running then from 180-200 up. You could look into some X12 style 12"+1" or 2x12" + 1" reflex tops with passive x-overs.

Ok, have looked at x12 and 2x12 +1 cabs and was wondering if a similer design could be applicable to a 2x8 + 1" with a mid horn.

The two 8" drivers mounted in mid horns would be better with high freq mounted in front.a 10" MT kinda design.
