I've asked a similar question on here before but i need to clarify a few points  first of all
i am aiming to build a smallish boombox for around the £50 mark not including case and from what
i've read a pair of these would work quite nicely http://%20www.europe-audio.com/Product.asp?Product_ID=5536 - http://www.europe-audio.com/Product.asp?Product_ID=5536 my second question is would i need a pair of tweeters with them
suchas these http://www.europe-audio.com/Product.asp?Product_ID=7640 - http://www.europe-audio.com/Product.asp?Product_ID=7640 however this would be above my budget. I was looking something like this for the amp http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-X-50Watt--D-Audio-Amplifier-TDA7492-19V-adapter-/111140230182 - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-X-50Watt-Class-D-Audio-Amplifier-TDA7492-19V-adapter-/111140230182 any thoughts on it ? and would i need a crossover with and without the tweeters ? also any thoughts on powering it as i would like it to be reasonably portable a few hours battery life is what i would be looking for.
Thanks for any help you can give.
Alex.

I think you should buy from a uk supplier if you're in the UK

there is amp suppliers in UK , there is lithium ion battery suppliers in UK  , there is also speaker driver suppliers in UK

and here is a link for crossovers

You could cut cost by buying a ta202x board. The monacors reach quite high so tweeters aren't essential but they are preferable. The tweeters you linked can be cross-overed by a cap in serie.

I've seen some threads by KWB75 and was wondering whether he or someone
else could advise on the volume and port size as i need to start
cutting the wood by next week and have been trying to
calculate sizes but the figures i get seem inconsistent i get 22.8l
from winISD but when i looked at this thread he said a target of 7.5 http://forum.speakerplans.com/my-boombox_topic62315.html so i
am now well and truely confused i am using this amp
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MKIII-Tripath-TA2020-PCB-25watt-Class-T-amplifier-UK-/271274659476?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_HomeAudioHiFi_Amplifiers&hash=item3f293ace94
and two monacor sp60/4, still considering the tweeters. Any help at this stage would be really appreciated.
Thanks
Alex
