New member with simple question:  Are there any plans or drawings on the this compact stage monitor available?   I have the components and have previously built my own boxes (http://electron.org/hobbies.htm)

Now it is time after 40 years build my own again. I intend to use them for surround sound speakers.

Thanks Tim Alderman

you may do better to find empty wedges locally as craigslist in our area ends up having some pretty random things for pretty low prices as production companies clear out old stuff.  what components went into these?  also by making the cabinet a bit larger and optomizing the tuning a bit lower than a stage monitor would require, you can likely get more out of the drivers without stressing them in any way.

Craigslist here in the bay area is the go-to place for many things.  The problem is what keywords?
JBL as a keyword returns all the stuff in cars, computers and more. Narrow it down and no results are shown. I am looking for exactly what you say, a used 'junker' basically so I can measure it to copy for mine. JBL also at one time had extensive diagrams for home builders (I have them all mostly) but none for wedges.

I was about to try and find L26s from 1974 as they made over 100000+ of these but the top of the front panel, alas, is just shy of the 10" square opening needed for the biradial horn.  Leo's in Oakland went under a couple years back after many years supporting tour/recording types so that's gone too. Maybe I should rent one for a day? sheesh.

My components are the 2012H woofer, 2344A horn and of course LE85/2426J driver, I plan to just use the 3120 passive crossover in the rear and keep it simple.  I fully intend to 'modify' the size by enlarging slightly. I use infinite baffle / sealed box and 1/3 octave equalize and don't need response below 70hz, the front speakers are fine for bass.

Thanks for your reply.

Say I am so glad you responded.  The JBLpro web site is where I go scrounging.
In fact, the particular link you gave is just what i saw as an answer to my prayers.
Now if I could just find the detailed drawings..  I am willing to pay if they are sold.

Tim
