Hi, as a DJ in the 80's I loved my Glitter Systems kit, and whilst googling i notice that this site provides most results as to those who know about, own, and may even have for sale Glitter Systems kit. If you have any that you would consider selling then please let me know as I will pay handsomely... Also, let me know if you know or have contacts that my consider selling any Glitter Systems kit. Sorry if I did and didn't get back to you - incredibly traumatic time until recently.......if it wasn't you, then I have a pair of Glitter System speakers I am reluctantly having to part with. they are green glitter, 22"w x 43"h x 13" d. They are in good used condition for their age and have Goodmans AMD Fane Classic drivers. Make me a sensible offer? I am at TW15 near to the M25, M3 amd M4. Regards Dave. |

hello Dave, I think you did reply, and we even spoke, as I recall you had upgraded the drivers, which although valuable to you, it pushed the price of the units (when compared to their original state) beyond what they were worth to me... Hi All, You will love to know that I am still running my Glitter Systems speakers out to events... this was last weekend (40 years after they were made) being powered by three RCF HPS1500 amps...  |

hi, i have the first glitter system console (in white) i believe there is only one! the preamp blew some years back and one side of the remaing power amps needs attention. the tape section is missing from the centre, but otherwise is as supplied by disco supplies in chadwell heath. i also have a pair of glitter bass bins and horns working perfectly and original. would you be interested? |

What an awesome picture! I didn't start on the mobile discos until the mid to late 90's but seeing set ups like the above when growing up at school discos, weddings and parties is what got me into it all, I carried on using the big screens, home made light boxes and pinspots until the late 00's before set ups like that became unfashionable and everything went LED, it seemed simpler and more fun in those days, I miss it to be honest even though I'm doing less work and earning more dosh hiring out the system these days. I'm sure I've still got some male to male(!) Bulgin cables, a box full of 40w coloured bulbs and some white perspex sheets kicking about in the garage....

Well, to be honest I'm kind of open to offers as this may have a certain sentimental value and because of its rarity. The speakers are still in use and I love 'em so it would have to be a serious offer to get me to part with them!... Hope this helps |

There was a pair on Ebay for a stupid figure of £500 a while back...bear in mind they only contain 12" Fane pop50's, you really would have to be in love with the Glitter look to pay that for something containing £10 worth of drivers! ------------- Be seeing you. |

I don’t want a glitter system that bad, certainly wouldn’t pay £500 for one. Would be more for my own interest/nostalgia/ just because I kinda like it rather than to use regularly for gigs, as such could never justify spending any serious money. ------------- 100% Earth Moving Bass |

| I have a pair of Silver Glitter System Speakers for sale, please see attached picture. Fully Tested all four tweeters and crossovers replaced. They were the last pair manufactured and sold by Disco Supplies in 1985 (I know as I worked there at the time). I managed to find the last pair of glitter speakers made the 12” McKenzie drivers all in good condition and sounding great but the piezo drivers and crossovers needed replacing so not an expensive job. I thin I re sold to a vintage Record Shop
