I think the answer is to buy the best compression driver you can afford.  You may not get exactly the same performance as Rog but as long as it's a good quality driver I'm sure it'll work fine.

I would have a glance over to the big Seleniums as well. It seems a 4" diaphragm driver is what is being called for here though you might have to fine-tune the setup a little depending on driver chosen.

see if you can get your hands on some Selenium D4400Ti or Selenium D408Ti

both have 4"VC and Ferrofluid

Other than the price, one being 1db more sensitive & 20 oz heavier than the other, what is the difference between these 2 comps ?

The sound!
I put both the above drivers up against a DAS and it was clearly the better winner, but very expensive , even at trade prices, so I opted for the B&C DE750 was the one we went for.
Didn't like any of the Selenium comps.

Unclejam, that was funny.
If you do buy a Beyma, can we have video footage of when your showing your wife what you just paid $600.00 forLOL be alright if it was a diamond though.LOL

I remember when I showed my girlfriend at the time a 1U bss digital crossover that i'de I just paid a small fortune for, and spending the rest of the day being mentally tortured.

Surely if your going to all the trouble of ordering some porn horns, and getting them sent to you why cant you order they beyma at the same time? The PAP price is cheaper and for export you can loose the vat?
