Hi, have any of you guys ever done a mobile sound system? Like for a motorcade or a carnival? Would like to see some photos of the setups if you have.

We were kinda um... close to the SWL on that scaff board on the second time around, but hey it's carnival and we were far from the dodgiest thing there <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" align="middle" />

The stacks were each delayed slightly to give more rearward dispersion on the bass end, settings courtesy of Rog running some sims for us in advance of the show. He was there taking photos too, was good to see him getting about in a horrifyingly garish shirt!

Some of the sim details below, it's been five years and might as well share the love – you should be measuring on site for the best result with your boxes though!

I do sound on floats almost every year during bloemencorso Zundert .
Little different from your regular float :)

Twenty years ago this summer

4 x tms4 with 4 x 118's perched on top then the Sugarlump system of 4 x 118 & 2 x txd530's as sidefills.

back then this was considered exceptionally LOUD..

DMZ. "The bass was intense. Girls were literally running up to stand next to the subs"

Here's a few from when we hooked up with Bry and the Dirt boys, doing the MTV Base/Poison UK truck at Nottinghill with Void/Looneybins, and an F1 system for someone that I can't quite remember...!

On the Poison truck we had 4 x Psyco's, 2 x Stasys 8's (?) and 3 x Stasys 3's on the rear. Each side were 8 x Looneybins, with 5 x Stasys 3's.

The F1 truck had 3 x F221's and 5 x Res 5's on the back, 4 x F218's and 4 x Res 4's on each side - nowhere near as loud as the Void/Looney combo.

One from the top of the truck.

And one from the bottom...

May have to just man up and get to Monday carnival after 'bala.
