There seems to be a few who have built or are building hornloaded mid tops. Let see what you got...... Heres mine to get the ball rolling

Yes I took a few pics during construction.. I have no idea what to put up top.. suggestions would be appreciated.

Nice colour....... your mth30s got grubby that day... there is a huge selection of comps out there, how far down do you want to go and how wide do you want the dispertion to be?

Down to about 1000 depending on what driver I put in the mid section. To be honest I love the emilar eh 800 that I have sitting in there.

thought i'd post my effort up, i replaced the old apt comps which were to be fair useless, shouldve listened to you all....well happy with these now, wish i took them out more

edited twice, cant upload pics, will persevere....

I build new tops and i want to use them for a party, so on the first party they look like this (photos) but now they are black&beautiful ;-)

yeah, haha, never recognized it. yeah skateboard wheels under a big ampeg 8x10 bass bin (e-bass)!

yes its the 12" design from speakerstore/dynacord tops! but i put the HF closer to the MID Driver (like 2cm from the dustcap)!

12" is a rcf L12p110k, really good for horn design (i think 500w and 101db). clear and really loud.
1,4" is a bms 4554 on rcf hf64.
12" runs from 150 to 1500Hz.

they sound really good. if u stand really close to it, nice kick but sometimes too loud. but if u stand like 6-10mtrs away it sounds brilliant.


Try to "port" the horn at the back to get more "mids" from 150Hz...
