I did some screen recordings on different crossover filters at the processor outputs and the sum of the filters via a small mixer.

Well.. other than demonstrating that you should not use different crossover types or slopes on either side of the same crossover point I'm not sure what to take away from this.

Different x-over slopes can be used and depend on loudspeaker respons after implementing x-over filters.
I have seen 3 of the combination i the video's in real live situations.

new screen recording on a new toy. A linea Research ASC48 processor.
first a Linkwitz-Riley 4rt order x-over @1kHz vs a LIR x-over @1kHz (linear phase filters!).
after that a Linkwitz-Riley 4rt order x-over @125Hz vs a LIR x-over @125Hz (linear phase filters!).
More latency at the 2nd and 4rt combination which is the cost of linear phase x-over filters.
enjoy

Yeah really good, thanks for sharing. Trying your allpass stacking tricks on some boxes is still on my very, very long to do list!

There's a lot to be found on aligning a sub system to a main system so here's a screen capture on the subject.
In this example only delay is used to get the top (in this case) aligned to the sub.
https://timobeckmangeluid.wordpress.com/2017/08/25/sub-top-alignment-delay-only/" rel="nofollow - https://timobeckmangeluid.wordpress.com/2017/08/25/sub-top-alignment-delay-only/

Little over a year ago i did a screen capture on the same subject but in that one i mainly used 2nd order allpass filters.
