  Got a heavy (well actually not that heavy) XP3000h here. Obviously very different to the last one I owned which had metal mosfets facing up. This one has trannies on bottom. What is the actual difference in these amps? Thanks ------------- It's everything, not everythink! |

I preferred my old STR3000H, to the XP3000H. But an SAE PXM1450 will spank both those now.. ------------- Global Depopulation - Alive and Killing. |

Yes my str3000 was brutal on bass!!! Shredded x4 1550s in turbo folded horns  a very solid 3k amp indeed. ------------- Sound Hire/Sales new/used equipment. |

STR3000s had a reputation for frying voice coils, where as I've used MA5000VZs and QSC 5050s, and no such issues. Kinda' reminds me of MA3600VZ. ------------- Global Depopulation - Alive and Killing. |

The STR3000H "apparently" had metal transistors, and larger transformer. Hence STR3000H was monster in bridge, and XP series had a tendency to...  ------------- Global Depopulation - Alive and Killing. |
