Hi all...

I'm looking at a new build project of a pair of mid tops.
I've been looking at this 18Sound enclosure   http://www.eighteensound.com/Portals/0/EnclosuresKits/18_Sound_12_2_Ways_v1.pdf" rel="nofollow - http://www.eighteensound.com/Portals/0/EnclosuresKits/18_Sound_12_2_Ways_v1.pdf

and also at the X12. For this one I'm still thinking if I want to modify it with only one 12" driver.

Original plan of the ( double 12" ) x12 uses 18 mm plywood...anyone made this with 15mm plywood ?

In case I modify it to a single 12"15mm plywood should work.. I built a modified SMT with one 12" and used 15mm wood

Also..the 18SOund plan has internal bracing pieces where the X12 doesn't.

I was wondering if anyone has used some sort of internal bracing for increased strength of the speaker

for example in the SMT 212 there isn't any plan for a bracing support for the comp driver + horn but I had to add it to mine to scure the tops avoiding all the weight to be supported only by the horn.

thanks !!
