Easy stuff, use REW. Post up what you get and we'll tell you if it looks real. |

How about random bits noise measurement software?
Any software with "Gold" in its name?

You can use any software that is designed to take measurements that offers a very wide (greater than 20 Hz - 20 kHz) bandwidth. A 20 Hz - 20 kHz bandwidth will not show the High Frequency and Low Frequency roll off points on an audio device. REW is very popular because it is free. I don't use REW due to taking measurements before REW was developed. REW has matured throughout the years so there is really no reason not to use it if you are new to measuring audio equipment. I just have a plan to measure one cd + horn with 3 different methods. So I need all 3 of them. Im affraid I will have to generate signal for one of them anyway. And write program to calculate spl from recorded sample. I want to avoid fft though so I am looking for automated random bits measurements.
