So are the cabs "better" than bose 502b. I would think only bad thing that 502b is that they wont go under 50hz :( and they are heavy.
What's the dimension of twin?
What amp they need? Does my t.amp 4-700 cover it?

they will put the bose to shame..  you would need an amp capable of 1600 watts at 4ohm. for the double version, the q12 plays 40hz low end may be a tad lower

The ones in the pic on page 4 I use with a Matrix XT 6004EQ( 4x 1,200w/4r ) with DB Mark 2in-4out sound system processor. The F208's are rated @ 400/4r, and the F212B's @ 1,200/4r. According to Tony, at the time, the top cabs would handle around 800-900w each and the bins around 2,000w each. I believe the tops are around 99db sensitivity for 1 watt/ @ 1 metre, and the bins are 96db and go down to 32hz. Both designs have 2 rear ports on each cab. So, the performance of a single 18inch, with a very small footprint and incredibly loud for their size.

bms 12n630 is not so expensive, I think.. about 250€

If driven with 8ohms, does it require more than 600watts?
As 502 is 450watt rms 1600 watt peak, manufacturer recommends 1200watt amp. I use my t.amp tsa 4-700 in bridge mode at 2x1600w/8ohms. It is capable to 2x1800w/4ohms but thomann said that there is sometimes stability problems in bridge mode @ 4ohms. It gives 4x490w/8ohms, 4x810w/4ohms.

Once I ordered 18" 450watt sub, and thought it needs same power, or atleast x2 but when I played with it. It started to smell like burned electric.

EDIT: So, I sent the 18" sub back.

My bass bins have the neo version 12 inchers, while the tops have the ferrite version of the 8 inchers. The bins weigh 29.6 kg, while the tops weigh 16 kg. The neo version of the 8 inchers only reduce the weight by, apparently according to Tony, some 2kg per cab, while the ferrite version of the 12 inchers increase the weight by around 5-6kg per cab.

depends on were you are setting the hp and lp on the box. 1000 watts per driver also sounds about right, using a higher hp slope.

So, even the driver is only 600watt rms, how much it can handle?
And is it that, how much there is "back pressure" from the cabinet the driven can handle more?
