Interesting line up of names there. Can anyone tell me why Hi Fi is added to so many names, does this originate from anything?

more likely to be fashoinable at that time..
Early sounds used 'Count' 'Duke' 'Downbeat' then the trend changed to 'Jah' as the cultural 70's sound emerged.
just my opinion

There are still a lot of newer sound who use "hi fi" in their name, but it is funny that there are also a few who call themselves "low fi".

I might have asked this somewhere before, but my first Reggae customer was a guy named Donavan. This was at the start of the '80's. I remember him bringing some of his crew along with his system to A/B test with my latest offerings. He had a Sansui pre-amp and huge great Sansui amps. Everything was hand wired onto terminals in his boxes.  I have never known what happened to him, he may have gone back to Jamaica of somewhere more exotic, who knows. Anyway does anyone remember this guy?
