Hey all

designing a short horn section in Hornresp, an offset horn with a 12" driver. It might have a very short flair at the end but other than that it'll be straight walled.

But been a while since I've worked on it, and am blanking on what horn profile is best represented by what. Remind me what the horn profiles are again.

If it's just expanding in one plane (think a square box, the horn expanding vertically, but with parallel walls on the sides) what type of horn best represents that again, conical? parabolic?

If it was a trap cab, so straight walls again but the horn is expanding in both directions now, what profile best represents that, exponential?

Kev

Expanding in one plane only (with straight walls) = parabolic.
Expanding in 2 planes but still straight walls = conical.
