The Billie jeans one? vaguely remember it...that system never really sounded very good...did we ever take any photos there? Cant remember...i know we had Robbie Vincent (telling a bouncer over the microphone, who was trying to evict a kid "no,dont hit him")..and of course Chris Hill one night too.

Remember Charlie Chans (which actually had quite a good system installed,ASS i think, had four 2x15 relflex cabs round the dance floor) but it sounded totally flat?  Que us pushing the bass up on the equaliser,"arr, that sounds better"...and que the manager going mental that we had made it sound like a disco instead of a libuary. Wish we taken more photos back then.

Edit...
Forgot to tell you,i have found a box of old 35mm slides taken at the Country club the night you and Frog did the outdoor pool party...1981 maybe? ....the JB's set up the system in the afternoon...we stood at the bottom of the feild,200yards away, and the sound was like as clear as wearing headphones?
Anyway, going to try and get these slides photographed onto digital.

The Billie Jeans sounds system was terrible (just lots of cheap distorting full range speakers) but the console was one of Froggy's old orange ones I am sure, I think it also had a Matamp crossover?  They have another club there now called 1-9-5 or something, I went there once and the sound system is even worse! all ear splitting midrange with distortion on top. Yes I was the DJ at Charlie Chans when it opened, they had quite a nice system but it wasn't set up properly. It was run by Tony Bee who used to be the manager and he now has 'Faces' in Gants Hill and a couple of other clubs. Yes please figure out a way to scan and send me those pics!

Mike,look what i just found!

Chan's....Yep,it was ASS,and as Simon says,it was never set up properly, sounded really flat until myself and Simon fiddled with  it,them got told off for making it sound good! Hilarious!

I have no idea who this DJ is.

You can see the reflection of the ASS 2x15 bass cabs in the mirrors..there were four of those around the dance floor....with a pair of ASS 2x12 angled mids, with Tony's ASS 30 inch acoustic lenses on top.

Be seeing you.

Think Mykey means these

when loaded with the correct driver's (should be all JBL's) and used with the correct dedicated crossover they normally sound really good for a compact (ish) box!
I'm still looking for a pair if anyone has them (in any reasonable condition working or not)

Never criticise another man until you've walked a mile in his shoes. Once you have, call him what you like, you're a mile away and you've got his shoes!

I seem to recall these being designed by someone called Trevor Missen (not sure of spelling)
