RESTORING PEAVEY PROJECT 2 - HELP

Hi people!

I'm a great voyeurist of your plans and discussions on the forum and you guys poisoned me with this audio decease.
Finally i've decided to register because i feel that i really need lots of help.

So i ask the sensibility of all of you (i'm rookie) so i can set the stack of my dreams.

First i fall in love with a "alien" system from peavey. The project two. This passion was first for the astetics of the units.

THE 3 UNITS ARE:
MF1X markIII series (HF horn)

Second, i've searched second handed stuff and i found it.

I bought first 2 units of the The MF1X and 2 units of the MB2 for 200 euros.
This MF1Xs were loaded with the original peavey 22A.
The MB2s were loaded with the 1204-4  (12") driver from peavey.

After that i spent 250 on petrol and did 2500 km to bought 4 units of the FH-1 for 400 euros.
This ones were loaded too.
2 of them with EV drivers
The other two with original peavey black widow 15".


I'm restoring all of them. Treating the wood, Painting, adding speakon connections, new cabinet corners, etc etc...

Finally i got 2 fiber horns (smaller than the mf1xs) offered from the FH1s guy.


The idea is to set a 4 way system with great astetics for small electronic music venues, club addicional reinforcement and other applications. (i can't buy void of fk1..  so... )

Per side:

1 HF horn for ultra upper mids!
1 HF cabinet (MF1X) for HF
1 MB2 mid/bas
2 FH1 bass

In the future i will add  double 18" per side for outdoor venues.

My question now is:

which drivers should i buy for this cabs/horns so it can become a dream for my ears too!?

Fane sovereign? Fane Colossus?  Precision Devices?  RCF?, P.Audio...!?

If it helps , i'll post some pictures from all the horns/cabs.

Yes.. that's why i want to add two double 18" subs and another horn for high frequencies.

They will play electronic music, disco music, house, etc etc

Yeah, no dis respect Mr Stackhaussen, just looking at the specs. I'm no expert either! Put a sub on there and I'm sure it'll sound nice!

The MF1X will make 'frying bacon' sounds at high volume levels, the air in the very narrow slot overloads.

Wow. I just had a flashback moment. I used to run this set up years ago. Still have two full stacks of the mark 3 series sitting in storage. They sound good from about 8 feet or so back. Get a little nasty up close. Carry out a good distance better than you think they would. They bottom out at around 65hz. If you want to keep the vintage thing going you could add the 2 X 15 subs that where made for them. They still don't get all that low however. About to 60hz rock solid but drop like a rock after that. If you are reloading them go with a more modern driver. The originals are pretty dated if you could even find them. Must admit though, I flat out tortured ours for years and never killed them. By the way you can still buy the original retro Peavey handles for those things if your trying to do an original look. In any case thanks for the trip down memory lane.
