Right well this thread has to happen at some point so might as well get it going!

BIG RESPECTS to KILOWATT SOUNDS and co. for organising the shootout. TOP DAY- TOP BLOKE.

It was a great day and good to meet some people off the forum.

YES, ITS TRUE, PD1850s ARE STILL KING!

Shame i couldn't get the chipboard COW or any of my Rhinos down there - next time.

S118 were awesome no competition!

very closely followed by hog, eminence and renscoop.

TRU minis were beautifully finished - nice work!

looks like we're all going to be after PD1850s now tho!!!

found another driver that doesnt work in small chamber s118s - fane 1500

tmax 1500 in shortman fullThumbs Down

would have been nice to hear 1850 super and rx1850 on the scene too just to compare.

Also would have been interesting to have a infi8v2 there to give those drivers that need the power.

Next time guys...

great day !

Turbomax were pretty dissapointing.

the tmax 1500 didnt sound nice in the only box that it had a chance with.

tmax 1200i in shortman of course sounded quite good, but not blinding.

powered off one side of Crest CA18

SPLs reading were taken by corticyte at a set distance. perhaps he can post that up...

Was a superb day out! Those that never made it...you missed out big time!

Big up Mr Kilowatt and family ClapClap

...and all who attended! I waited a long time to hear the Hogs...They sounded ok with the Voids but they improved ten fold once the drivers were changed to 1850's and IMO they're a worthy alternative to the ASS but i don't think they drop deeper than scoops (what scoops were they compared to when this was decided). They play very well and certainly go up high enough...Ermm

Don't mean to put a damper on things but it was pointed out to me after the shoot out for second place that just the hogs were driven by the JBL amp brought in...not that it matters too much but all the cabs present may have performed better driven by a bridged MPX1200. Can someone confirm this?
