Marvin figured it out ages ago.

If you're using SMPS amps, you need one rated approx 50% higher than equivalent torroidial, if you need the same 40hz action.

So 4-5K SMPS should be magic on 4 ohm bridge, and 7k "should" be decent on 4 ohm stereo.

Price you pay for not being afraid to lift the amp.

£3000 for an FFA10.0 and approx 1500 for a infi8.

@Mickey  -  You see the piece of wood behind the driver, it forms the throat - does it have to be perpendicular to the driver, or can it be at an angle?  Nice, by the way.  Are they your boyfriends?
