I have P Audio SN12mb. 100db drivers in x12.

BMS 4550 1"keeps up easy, eq'd a bit but thats the way they are.

The BMS drivers are a bit different design-wise.

The drivers I use are 101.5dB and with my old compression drivers (PD 1.4") and using a 500W amp on them, there have been cases where I've hit the clip limiter on the HF before the midband.  Admitedly only on things like snare hits but it gives you an idea of how much headroom you need on the HF.

Interesting you quote live music.

Never done that.

OK, if I was to add another BMS to each cab (on Y ) do you think that would improve the situation?

Thanks in advance.
It just is.

I don't have any experience of using multiple compression drivers on one horn so I don't know how the BMS drivers would respond to that.

I do almost entirely live music.  You need much more amplifier headroom than for recorded music because it's largely uncompressed.  The mid and high frequencies are where you'll notice it most.
